I've actually done quite a bit of research on a pair of bookshelf speakers that I could use with my MP3 player that would sound better than decent and let some of that lag behind me if I working from home compared to the basic set of PC speakers I had. With reviews, value for money, and a desire to compromise on quality, these Bestisans seemed to fit the bill. All in all, for the sub-$100 price point, they're way better than average. I ended up taking a risk choosing these over the more established brands and in the end I have no regrets. The sound is crisp and clear, and the volume, treble and bass are all self-contained enough to change your taste (although the bass in particular has almost no room in the low end). There are many ways to connect a TV or other devices to it, so there is some flexibility here too. The finish is durable so they will visually blend in perfectly with whatever environment you choose to place them in. The remote control is simple but does the job. If you have music on a flash drive I wouldn't use it for this purpose as I haven't found a shuffle option so it's the same songs in the same order every time (so I use MP3 where it can be controlled) . There's a feeling that you could have or use "just a little bit more" but then you open yourself up to who knows how much to lose playing. I got back about $50 before this set which was like night and day in quality. I wouldn't try my luck buying over $100 for something like or worse, or have to branch out into several hundred areas to make something sound more professional. If you're looking for something that meets your audio needs at a reasonable price, we highly recommend this purchase.
