Review on πŸ¦… Hawk Performance HB275F.620 High Performance Ceramic Brake Pad by Marcus Block

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great racing brake pads.

I bought these for my 2006 Honda Civic coupe. As of February 2012, these are the third pads I've gone through (now October 2012). First there were regular pads, which were just awful. I then upgraded the front and back to Akebono and there was an obvious difference. Akebonos stops the car much quicker than the OEM, especially in the rain. Then this month I upgraded to these babes. For my use, these pads are superior to Akebono in every way, but there are a few things to look out for before you buy them. First, brake dust is MUCH more. I gave up cleaning the wheels, there are so many. Maybe I'll try again next week. Now the braking power is much higher, but they are not as smooth to use. It's not just a usage disruption. I've already driven a good 5,000 km with these brakes. It's like they're annoying you when you gently ask them to stop. This can be fun and uncomfortable for passengers. That was not the case with my previous brake pads. So. Benefits-1. Solid performance2. Quick Stop 3. Blast for the Dollar4. No Noise Cons-1. Brake Dust 2. Smoothness As much as I love these brakes, there are some compromises, but they still deserve 5 stars for the simple fact that they do what they're told and stop you for a good price.
