Coolest case for GoPro Hero4

I have to admit I was looking for a cool case for my new GoPro Hero4 Silver. While the underwater housing that it comes with works well for its intended purpose, I never liked the look and didn't like the access to the ports, which I use a lot. When I travel, I always charge my gear along the way, mostly in the car before heading out on our next adventure. This aluminum case offers easy access. As for the "cool look," a lot of people have been asking me about this case both in person and on social media. It looks awful as hell. In addition to the look, the feel is also convincing. It's well built, has a high quality finish, and protects the GoPro from almost every angle. I love that it has a tripod thread on both the top and bottom which allows me to attach the GoPro mount from below and also provides easy access to mount it upside down on my tripod which works well with the " Auto function works allows you to shoot upside down by automatically flipping the footage to the right side. There is absolutely no vignetting in either widescreen or Super View for videos, and no vignetting in widescreen for stills. People reporting vignetting are either using a different filter or have a faulty filter that may be wrong or doing something wrong. Keeping the camera in the shell is fine too. I can't really explain it other than that it just feels really good in the hands. Although it adds about 50g (compared to the GoPro+ Underwater box), it's almost negligible. People who complain about the weight have to happily leave their GoPro bare, which I don't do because it looks so fragile. 50 grams is nothing. As far as I can tell, the only inaccessible button is the LCD on/off button. To press the button, you need to lift the back panel. It doesn't bother me because 95% of the time I leave the LCD off anyway. If this button is important to you, you can still remove the back panel, since the camera is secured with a clamping screw on the right. The only downside is that the LCD is less secure without the extra number on the back. All in all, at this price point, if you don't need waterproofing, this is a near-perfect case. Super happy with this case.
