I needed a curling iron that was a bit smaller than mine as my hair was much shorter. pinch your hair tight enough. Big disadvantage in my opinion. My hair slips out from under the barrel breech. Since my hair is not long I was really hoping this one would hold a section of hair while curling. Although my hair isn't long, circling the trunk a couple of times is enough. So the problem isn't the length of my hair, it's that it's not clamped well. I leave it as there are more pros than cons but I'm a bit disappointed.
