Review on ASUS VP299CL Ultrawide Monitor: 1080P, 75Hz Refresh Rate, Blue Light Filter, Tilt & Height Adjustment by Alan Drury

After a few months of use I am very satisfied with this monitor. I just needed a bigger, no-frills monitor for programming and conferencing. My biggest complaint is that for a monitor with so many settings to protect your eyes from blue light, whenever my computer shuts down or goes to sleep, the screen goes completely black, a blindingly bright blue that has all of the settings to protect your eyes and your naught sleep. . The second thing I complain about is bad design. There's only one VESA mount for a monitor that big, and it sits in a curved circular recess (and is used by a footrest that you can't secure). Even with an extension cable, you can't mount a mini PC on the back, which is common these days.
