Review on πŸ“Έ 5-in-1 Reflective Photo Basics: Westcott 301 40-Inch Reflector by David Estevez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does what it says on the tin - Reflectors

I'm not sure why anyone would give this reflector a low rating for being 'too big' as I'm hoping in the 21st century that people understand the concept by measuring length and it's not the reflector's fault if they don't understand that 40 is greater than 32 but honestly it's a nice big reflector and I'm happy about that. When you're doing portraits you want to make sure you're covering shadows, and with less it's a bit harder to aim. I also like that the translucent part is large enough to cover the entire person without getting too close to them. In addition, the large size allows it to be used as a background for headshots or close-ups. The zipper is pretty odd, but almost all 5-in-1 reflectors are a bit finicky about putting different reflectors in, and they're not. what to do if you are in a hurry. You need a place to place the reflector and put it in the middle part and zip it up. If this is an issue for you, it might be better to buy dedicated reflectors or a 2-in-1, but generally this product works well if you're on a tight budget if you're patient. FYI I only use a tripod or light stand and storage clips to hold this together, not the one sold for it.
