Description of 📸 5-in-1 Reflective Photo Basics: Westcott 301 40-Inch Reflector

Silver increases the specular highlights and yields a high-contrast image. Its perfect for video, product shots and B&W photography. Gold produces a natural, golden fill that is great for sunsets or indoor portraits. White produces an even, neutral-colored bounce light that works beautifully as a fill light source. Black is used as a flag to block light or can be used to subtract light. Translucent fabric is used to diffuse light, producing a broad light source and a soft, wraparound effect.

I purchased this reflector and Neewer 110CM Folding Multi-Disc Reflector 110CM 43 5-in-1 from Revain at the same time. I did this because of the information that came with Westscot didn't clearly state it was foldable so I bought both at the same time and planned on returning one that wasn't as good as the other or not as big as the other The westcott 301 is about $10 more expensive than the other the Neewer 110 43". I was surprised when they arrived that it is exactly the same product and…

Does what it says on the tin - Reflectors

I'm not sure why anyone would give this reflector a low rating for being 'too big' as I'm hoping in the 21st century that people understand the concept by measuring length and it's not the reflector's fault if they don't understand that 40 is greater than 32 but honestly it's a nice big reflector and I'm happy about that. When you're doing portraits you want to make sure you're covering shadows, and with less it's a bit harder to aim. I also like that the translucent part is large enough to…

Wonderful product - you get a lot for your money!

Given the price (as well as the fact that there are some highly recommended double priced items out there) I wasn't expecting too much from this product but I chose this product as I am on a tight budget have. . It's also a very basic product - I'm not sure a very expensive version would differ too much from a budget version. too small - you can do great things with this reflector! It's also a very professional looking product. durable and I personally haven't had any problems with the zipper…

Great tool for shaping light!

Honestly, if you want better results with natural light, or even want to add some fill light from a flash, you can't go wrong with the Westcott 301 Photo Basics 40" 5" 1 Reflector make. The fact that it's 5 in one gives you a lot of options. My personal favorites are the silver reflector and diffuser. This is the perfect tool for shaping light without spending a lot of money. That's an absolutely amazing price. I would actually buy two if you are serious about your photography. The Westcott…
