Got this new leather leash to look after my cousin's big pitty instead of using the regular retractable leash he usually has. The dog goes nuts when it hits other dogs and this leash holds tight but gives me more control than I had with the retractable leash. strong in my arms I found this size (8ft) a little long for him as he wasn't used to being controlled on walks and got naughtier the longer I let him out. It's also easier to herd a larger dog with a shorter length, at least for me. I had to fasten it in my left hand while holding it in my right, which was natural and helped control it. I need more practice with the pup but after three days of use I have liked everything about this leash. I'm an older woman who hasn't been to the gym since the pandemic began so I'm not as strong as I was last March, but I felt this leash gave me some much needed control back.
