I love that it allows me to customize my campaigns, so they are not boring or too generic/generic looking (if you know what i mean). It's easy enought to use without having any experience with this type of software as well. The customer service is great - very helpful when we have questions about our account setup etc., but also willing to answer technical issues if needed. If there would be more templates available in different sizes & shapes then maybe people wouldn't feel like their mailings look plain old fashioned? Maybe even incorporate some other programs into your program such as Photoshop / Illustrator might help make things seem less 'old school'. We've been using DMA since before we had an agency back up us at first just because we were able to set everything ourselves from start-to finish instead of sending off emails asking someone else.
