I bought this cable to connect my new MacBook Pro to a card reader and backup drive without using an Apple adapter. Plugging the cable into the card reader doesn't always provide a good connection and I found I had to unplug and plug it in about every 2-3 times to get a connection. But then when some files were downloaded, the connection was lost before the download was complete. This renders it unusable as unplugging it without ejecting it can corrupt files on the memory card. I contacted the seller and he asked me to send him a video of the problem. It looked weird but I did it. Then he replied and said that this is not the cable I bought from him. I saw another review where a person had a similar problem and the seller solved it by sending them a replacement cord, but it was 3ft instead of 1ft. Apparently there is a problem with the 1ft cables and I think he got tired of changing them. I need another 1 foot cable so I'm looking at other options. If you need it, don't take it here.
