The bike seems normal but I was very upset when I took the front wheel out of the box and it was badly bent. The front wheel was completely unusable when delivered. The wheel wouldn't even spin without a lot of friction against the brakes. At first I thought maybe the spokes weren't tightened properly (the wheel wasn't round), but then I noticed that even the rim was warped. I only opened the package on my daughter's birthday. I wanted it to work. So I took out my spoke wrench (I'm experienced in bike maintenance) and tried to fix the wheel. I only got half. I was able to tighten some of the spokes as tight as possible (thought they might break) while loosening the other spokes enough to make them look like rubber bands. When I did that, I managed to get the front wheel just enough to spin without rubbing the brake pads, but you can still see the wobble. Glad my daughter is less than 40 pounds! If I were you I would buy a bike like this from a big store so I could return it right away and get a replacement, but we wanted a Hello Kitty that we could only find online.
