The color of the wood is more like cherry on this one but coffee brown on my car. Spring. Getting off was VERY difficult. You need something straight, like a long screwdriver, to operate this thing. I thought it didn't fit, but my husband put it on after playing with it for about 20-30 minutes. Luckily he has more strength and patience than me! The leather is soft, but the "wood" part is plastic and feels like plastic. It's a bit of a contract, but it won't slip out of your hands while you're driving. Make sure you like it before you put it on as it will be very difficult to take it off. It looks nice, feels comfortable, does not slip. It's just difficult to put on and I would like the wood to fit better. But overall happy with my purchase.
