I've bought a few of these. This is an inexpensive way to start a two-stroke engine. They work better than a choke. But about 1 out of 3 pistons I buy are not assembled properly. After the gas lines are connected and gas is pumped to the piston, they no longer refuse to sink. I took them apart and found that the ball bearing is seated under the spring rather than on top, causing the exhaust check valve to operate backwards. Both check valves are supposed to direct the gas in the same direction, but I've found them to be faulty on several devices. I assembled them correctly and then they work, but now I just order a replacement. The factory quality control does not do justice to its task. However, when they work, they do a great job.
