Most people would assume that this product (8 x Panasonic NiMH AAA Cordless Phone Batteries) from Panasonic should be the best replacement for Cordless phone batteries Panasonic DECT 6.0 phones. But it's not always the case. First check the battery compartment of your Panasonic cordless phone (e.g. Panasonic KX-TG1062M DECT 6.0 cordless/wired phone). If you only see two loose AAA batteries instead of a battery pack, you're in luck! You can put any rechargeable NiMH AAA cells in it and the phone won't tell the difference. When the handset is placed in the charging cradle, the charger doesn't notice any difference either. The batteries are therefore only charged with a low current (approx. 50 mA). As long as your replacement batteries have a capacity equal to or greater than the original batteries, you're good to go. However, I strongly recommend buying good quality LSDs (low self-discharge, aka "pre-charged"). Batteries instead of original Panasonic batteries or batteries from other manufacturers. Because: 1. The Panasonic NiMH AAA battery has a capacity of 700 mAh, which is very small by today's standards. Most rechargeable NiMH AAA cells on the market have a capacity of 800 mAh or more.2. Although batteries from other manufacturers are advertised with higher capacities such as "1000 mAh", they usually suffer from the problem of rapid self-discharge. This means that if you only leave the handset out of the cradle for a few days, the batteries will self-discharge.3. LSD batteries are pre-charged at the factory and are ready for immediate use. That means you can start using your phone with these batteries right away. (Note that the phone may still insist that it needs to be charged for 7 hours. The simplest is that the charger is not working)4. LSD batteries are designed to last much longer (typically 1000 cycles) compared to traditional NiMH batteries (typically 500 cycles). . For example, consider: - Sanyo eneloop AAA pre-charged batteries (800 mAh) - GP ReCyko AAA pre-charged batteries (850 mAh) - Tenergy Centura AAA low self-discharge NiMH batteries (rated capacity 800 mAh but measured 900 mAh) All these batteries offer above higher capacity than original Panasonic batteries. Also, instead of trying your luck, you get batteries of the same quality you know. This can be more important than just saving money. [Note] Panasonic acquired Sanyo a few years ago, so now all Sanyo brand batteries are made by Panasonic.
