Review on Evoluent VerticalMouse Ergonomic Wireless Connection by German Diaz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great mouse. quality product.

Quality mouse. Installing it on a Windows PC at work was very easy. The instructions were a bit wrong, but that's not a problem. I have some shoulder issues that I thought could be solved by using a different mouse. I'm a database engineer/administrator in the IT department, which means I use a PC for 6-8 hours every working day. I used a great mouse for many years before recently trying a trackball. Pooh. After hating trackballs for months, I switched to this mouse. Neither the trackball nor this mouse helped my pain much. But that's not the mouse's fault. My previous mouse, not a trackball, had similar features to this one: scroll wheel, back buttons, programmable buttons, etc. That's one of the reasons I bought this one, I didn't want to give up. functionality. I have big hands but this mouse works great. It didn't take me long to get used to the vertical orientation. I'm still changing the sensitivity settings to suit my use. The thumb buttons are a nice feature. The center button and scroll wheel are also handy. I have not programmed user settings for different applications. I'm not a fan of "plastic chrome" thumb pads. It seems strange to me. I've spoken to people who have switched to this mouse to help with physical issues who have experienced the real benefits of vertical alignment. I can't comment on the quality of Evoluent's support as I haven't had any issues with it. I turn it off every night and turn it on in the morning. Upon startup, Evoluent's name will be highlighted in blue. Very cool. This mouse is worth its price.
