I've owned half a dozen Evoluent upright mice over the past decade. I've tried almost every other vertical and ergonomic mouse on the market, but the Evoluents are still the best in terms of accuracy, a comfortable fit in the hand, and preventing soreness and cold fingers throughout the day. Quick review: I bought these to replace my vertical anchor mouse. If you want to play any games with it, don't worry. If for some reason you use multiple mice like I do, don't worry.
