Every HDMI KVM seems to have some problems with it. This was my first of three KVM attempts. This KVM suffers from strange problems - I don't know how else to describe it. Mouse speed will randomly slow down. but only temporarily. I disconnected the KVM from the computers and went straight to the hardware and also replaced the KVM with other KVMs and can confirm with certainty that this KVM causes the mouse to randomly slow down. There may be a problem with the emulation of mouse movements - the mouse appears in the system as a standard PS / 2 mouse. I've seen this on two mice from two different vendors. It might be possible to fix this by hovering the mouse over one of the "dead" ports, but I haven't done any further debugging on this. Second, KVM struggles with monitor dropouts. Two to three times a day, KVM makes the monitor disappear from the system. The only solution is to disconnect the monitor from the KVM and reconnect the cable to the KVM. strange. This must be done on KVM. Disconnecting and reconnecting another emd cable doesn't help (how?). It's possible that this random issue is related to my DP-HDMI adapter or dock, but I've replaced the adapter with two other models and also switched ports on the dock just to make sure the issue persists. This is obviously destructive, but it has also resulted in an unintended invasion of privacy. If this happens during screen sharing during a conference call, all windows will move - and you may end up sharing the screen with content you do NOT want your colleagues to see! Pro tip: If possible, only share one window at a time. and only open full screen mode when absolutely necessary. Otherwise, I really like the physical design and form factor of the KVM. *Kind of* small, clean and most ports are on the back. The bright red LEDs in the keys are a bit ugly, but that's just aesthetics. EDID works fine so switching monitors doesn't disable it, and the hotkey can be remapped to your favorite key. You can turn on the beep during the switch (but not when the KVM is booting for the first time). All check boxes are checked except Reliability. I want to love this KVM but unfortunately it doesn't work for me because of strange issues. In summary, the seller's customer service team went above and beyond to resolve any issues, including replacing the device. I really appreciate their efforts and am grateful that they stand behind the product. It just falls short in a few areas that are a deal breaker for me.
