Update: I give up. I am angry and disappointed. One of the collars squeaked at the back door... FIFTEEN FEET from the wire. I ask you to return and send all of this back. I pay extra for the brand name. I don't know what the answer is but the signal is EXTREMELY unstable which is why dogs are afraid to go outside now. Sometimes the collars squeak five feet from the wire, sometimes five inches...they can't figure out where the safe zone is, so now they're peeing in my house instead of asking. Will try a cat soon because he's the main reason we need this, but set it up so the dogs don't get close to my plants. So far it just seems to hurt them.
