KeySmart Wins, Loses Negative Ratings

Please read if you are not sure about this product. The negative reviews are misleading. First impression based on reviews vs actually having the product: This is super easy to set up. I'm not sure why people say otherwise. Second, don't get the Flex model, apparently it's plastic and breaks easily. It might be tempting because it costs $10 and if you're like me, that's a reasonable price you would pay for this product. The one I got, the $20 Compact model, is steel (or titanium, not sure, read the product description) and won't break easily - it's worth the extra $10. Third, the KeySmart Compact serves its purpose. Although the price is a bit high for my liking, my 5 keys don't jingle around or get caught in each other's rings when I now hook the clip on my jeans. Now I have the KeySmart, a tiny flashlight (Lumintop EDC01, highly recommend for everyone), my car key and a contactless surface tool on my Infini keychain. The KeySmart also makes it easier to find any key. I have 3 on one side, my house keys, and 2 on the other side, my work keys. I comfortably fit 5 keys here plus the small dongle that comes with it. Yes, the little square hook you see attached to a ring on my keys is optionally placed in the KeySmart. So the instructions say you can fit 6 keys or 5 keys plus the keys provided. dongle The pack included expanders which I used but if you want to expand again for more than 6 keys I believe you will need to purchase additional expander packs. If you have more than 6 keys, buy 1-2 expansion packs to avoid wasting time. You can always return them later or keep them in case you need to add more keys. I can't comment on the durability of this product if you have more than 8 keys, which may be why others have complained, but again, many have complained about the plastic flex model. There are many how-to videos online, including KeySmart's own video. However, once I started assembling it, it took less than 3 minutes. The only thing you need that is not included is a flat head screwdriver, any size will do. Simply loosen the screws to disassemble the KeySmart so you can add your keys, then re-tighten. When you tighten it and find it difficult to take out your keys for practical use, loosen the screws a little. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, it's practical, it's aesthetically pleasing, it's durable, it's practical and it just makes sense. My only gripe was the price, $20 for such a small thing, but honestly, it was worth it. I am writing this review for no other reason than to downplay the negative reviews I saw on KeySmart which almost made me not buy it. Good luck to you if you decide to purchase.
