I love the idea behind this product. I ordered three packs and use them to attach my car keys to my work keys. The device is also small enough for me to attach my working anniversary key to an ID card strap. After about three weeks the internal magnet slipped out of one side of the magnet link attached to my key so I used a replacement which also failed after a couple of weeks. The concept is great. The magnets are strong. But the plastic sucks. The magnets are pulled straight out of the cheap plastic case. You can lose your keys or whatever is attached to them. Without a magnet for additional structuring, the plastic is also prone to breakage (it's very cheap). Look for other solutions. This is not the one. Unless you want to lose your keys.

The magnet is very weak here, it can be released without much effort. When I got home, I pulled out my keys and found that my house key (which was attached to this magnet) was nowhere to be found. I was just lucky that a roommate was home to let me in. Great idea for a product but they definitely skimped on the magnet. Now I have to make a spare because of this crappy product.

Overall, the quick connect keychain is underwhelming. First, it's made of cheap plastic that doesn't feel very durable. Second, the two pieces that attach together have very small magnets built into each end, so don't provide a very strong hold. The two parts are attached to each other with a dovetail joint, but unfortunately they can be separated. when put in a pocket or tangled with another object.

MagConnect works great for swiping the house key when parking or you only need the house key when you go for a walk etc. Strong magnet.

The magnets aren't strong enough, I regularly keep my keys separate when I have to walk. Do not buy this product for an important key.

This magnetic key holder slides together adding a mechanical hold in addition to the magnet. It doesn't come off as quickly as other smart key magnets, but it doesn't come off easily by accident. I have other smart key magnets and haven't had any issues with them either, so they just add extra security.

So the original version of this spineless keychain is awesome. I've never had an accidental rip off but I was afraid it would happen so I bought this one thinking it would be great with a strong magnet and a comb. The magnet on this keychain is not that strong and I don't really like it. I switched back to original.

The products work great. Durability sucks. I bought 2 of these for my mailbox keys. After a few months the magnets started coming out of the case. As a result, the case fell off the magnets where no one saw it, and the locks had to be replaced.

I don't keep much on a keychain. Only 1 key and a key fob for my car. I saw this magnetic connector and liked the idea, but was worried the magnet wouldn't be strong enough. Magnetic connections are even close to advertising. The only way out is a dovetail lock, but this requires 2 hands, defeating the purpose of convenience and quick release.

I actually lost it a few times a week but always noticed it fell off. This morning he was gone. Used with a small plastic object smaller and lighter than a single key.

Not a very strong magnet, I constantly pulled out the key with the usual hooks. Might be strong enough for someone who doesn't want keys dangling in a pocket.

While I love the concept my only concern was that within a month one of the magnets fell out of the case rendering it unusable. I hope it was just a defective one-off because I exchanged it instead of returning it. When it arrived the magnet fell out. It's okay, I took super glue and glued it on. Then it got colder (32f), I dropped the keys and cracked the hull. So I'm not thrilled that I can fix it again, but I won't be buying them again.

They work well if you want to keep the key in place. However, they don't work that well on keys on a keychain in your pocket, and when you have multiple keys the combined weight easily overcomes the magnetic attraction. However, they fulfill the basic parts of the advertised usage. If the magnets on this item are upgraded to pull close to 60 pounds, let me know and I'll try again.

The dovetail detail helps keep it secure. Easy to remove and easy to attach. A bit pricey for a keychain in my opinion, but good quality. You get what you pay for.

I bought it to put on my mace. I don't carry it in my keychain. All other things in your chain can cause you to sterilize yourself. I clip it to my wallet and it's so easy to grab and pull it out of my wallet.

The magnets on this product need to be stronger to keep it from slipping off in my pocket. Until that's done, old-fashioned connectors will work at a much lower cost.
