I have lots of fancy crafts at home. Between me, my cricut and my girls (9 and 11 years old) who model clay and make beaded jewelry, we haven't tried anything. . . failed . . . tried again. . . nailed and loved. We dabbled in tie-dyeing and trying to make fun fabrics for homemade face masks in the early days of the 2020 pandemic. We used acrylic paint and a salt water mix, which worked damn well and produced subtle colors that stayed wash after wash. This time the girls wanted some of the room decorations to be bright and colorful - pillowcases and Tibetan style pennants. This paint set was fantastic - it has all the tools you need and a great booklet with instructions and tips. The dye colors are bright and vibrant and grouped in complementary colors so you don't accidentally mix the wrong colors and end up with a muddy brown mess. We dyed a sheet of 100% cotton white and cut it into 2' x 2' squares. We followed the instructions and our designs were perfect for us. Cleaning was pretty easy - I just tossed everything in the dishwasher with a bag of bleach. Good luck with your projects!
