You should not take it, it does not meet any standards.

I bought a Panasonic to replace, which I used for several years - they broke due to physical impact - they tore off the wires. I thought the Sony brand is famous and reliable. broke after half a year - the earpiece wheezed, which had never happened before in other headphones. I listen to music not loudly - in general it's a shame. I will never buy more Sony - an overpayment for the brand, but not for reliability.

Maybe the model came across defective, usually there were no complaints about similar headphones from Sony.
