I bought these lamps after moving into a new house with lots of outside lighting (lampposts). Obviously the electrical work was done by hand and in many cases it is difficult to trace exactly where the underground cables run. Most of the lighting is hooked up to the same switchboard and mechanical timer, but there are a few lights that appear to be set up with no switches or timers, so they're always on. I've had standard LED bulbs installed for a few months but I was annoyed that the light was on day and night. These bulbs were a great "band-aid" to temporarily fix the problem until I had time to study the electrical wiring further. They work exactly as advertised. They turn on at night and turn off in the morning. I've only had them for a week, but so far they're working perfectly. I will update my review if I find any issues in the future.
