Review on Universal Projector Ceiling Mount, White - QualGear QG-PM-002-WHT by Matthew Riley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

good and flexible mount but room for improvement

This is a great mount that comes with lots of hardware and good instructions that will meet most mounting scenarios but it's not one size fits all so I had to go with it the star out. This will fulfill most scenarios, but there may be some issues. 1. You cannot easily install it on a sloping ceiling. I got this mount thinking its long legs would provide optimal support. The legs come in 3 lengths but it turned out that the medium ones are too short and the long ones are too LONG to use the same length for all 4. One way to get around this limitation is to saw off the long legs, or mix and match the medium and long arms to fit the projector's holes. It's possible, but you'll run into another problem: the center of gravity of the projector won't be lower than the point you hung from above. This may be because it rolls over time and you need to constantly adjust it. In order to ensure perfect alignment of the center of gravity and the suspension point, I had to use a 3-point attachment instead of 4, as you can see in the attached image. Remove the 4th lever, but it does not play an auxiliary role. So it worked on the Epson 3020, but not with the optimal cross mount.
