I've had this monitor for about 7 months and I love it. I'm a student and I use it as a secondary display with my laptop, mainly for watching PowerPoint lectures, reading articles and browsing the web. The monitor is bright and sharp with no dead pixels, and the widescreen format is very comfortable. when I have multiple windows open or when I just want to read a document with a very large font to give my eyes a break. The native resolution of 1600 x 900 isn't the highest among widescreen monitors, but I think it's well balanced and gives me the extra space I need without having to squint, really audibly, to read text. As others have said, the built-in speakers aren't very good: they have a very limited bass response, as you'd expect from speakers of this size. The mids and highs sound good to me. One of the reasons I bought this monitor was that I had limited desk space and the built in speakers were a plus. This monitor really filled that need for me. I really didn't have a problem with it being too quiet; These speakers can actually sound decently loud without distortion. Setup is easy and the on-screen menus are uncluttered. This monitor comes highly recommended.
