Yes, these are thick socks

I don't know why people complain that these socks are too thick. I live in Michigan. That's exactly what I want! I've washed/dried a pair and they seem to have shrunk a bit. The packaging said "air dry" and "tumble dry low" so I was confused by the conflicting terms. I have US women's shoes size 8.5W, the smaller size fits perfectly but right out of the box. If I buy again, I'll take a size up. Very satisfied with the softness, really!
