Good off-road tire: Crafting

When it comes to making children's toys, you can be a purist and make everything or buy a few. For the toys I made for my grandson, I chose the latter because they were too cool to pass up. They look great on the VW Beetle I made. Note that they don't come with axles like the other wheels, but the axle hole takes a 3/8" dowel, so no problem as this is a very common dowel shank size available at larger home centers.
