My daughter's helmet size and extra gear outgrew her bag (Easton type with a shoulder strap). This is very spacious. This works great for softball, which I think always has more gear than baseball - all helmets have face masks, and players on the field wear a different type of mask, the balls are bigger. It includes her M/L helmet (6 1/2 - 7 3/8), her 12 inch glove, her youth/small adult Champro mask and 5 or 6 softballs. All this in one big department. The face mask is inside the helmet, but other than that it's not that difficult to do, there's no squeezing hardware like jigsaw pieces to fit it. The main compartment opening is huge and opens fully making it easy to get things in. She has batting gloves but doesn't use them so the entire time we had the bag (about 2 months) they stuck to the outside velcro and didn't come off even when she was carrying the bag to and from games. Ergonomic and padded shoulder straps are comfortable. We don't usually use the trunk compartment, I think we couldn't fit everything else (maybe it would be better if we took out all the softballs). The outer fabric is smooth and doesn't tighten or show dirt , just slips off While the black and white look is pretty chic, my only request is that this bag be made in a different color, maybe even girly (purple?).
