First impression of this review and I may or may not have to change it later: The first thing that comes out of the box is that it's assembled and pretty is strong . Unlike many laptops, it appears to be all metal, which is a good thing. However, I've worked with aluminum enough to point out that it's probably pretty cheap. But if you don't fall and don't hit, everything is fine. If you're planning on moving it, note that all in all it's pretty heavy. I only plan on removing it from my desk's keyboard shelf by folding it on its side so I don't worry too much about that. But keep that in mind if you're looking for portability. The joints also feel quite tight and it takes a bit of "effort" to get them into place. When you pull on one end of the 'tablet' everything seems to lift, with both hands moving in unison, which is nice as you really don't want to worry about minor adjustments. However, over time we will see if these joints loosen up. I suspect this could be a bigger problem if a heavier laptop was on the stand, but I don't intend it for this. As you can see I use it as a stand for my iPad Pro which also doubles as a graphics tablet. to me. It raises the iPad to a decent height (the stand doesn't even extend all the way, you can lift it higher) and feels solid enough. I can also put my keyboard underneath. Overall, I get four stars from me at the moment. I wish it was made out of high quality aluminum, but for the price ($35 at the time of this review) it fits my needs perfectly.
