The light from this 80W GVM LED steady light is good and I like the simplicity of the design (plugs straight into the wall, no bulky control boxes or cables) but it has a few notable flaws. 1) He is loud. Maybe it's just the model I have, but I don't understand other people's comments about it being "quiet" compared to the Godox Sl-60W. I have an SL-60W and its fan is quieter than a GVM bulb. My microphone picks up the GVM fan with no problem. 2) Power on/off and brightness are one button. That means you have to turn the brightness all the way down to 0 to turn it off. This means you can't save your level settings if you turn it off, which is an issue. I had to photograph the flashlight from behind to remember where to dial it back after turning it off.
