I remember shaving with Yardley shaving cream and a BRUSH. This was 1955 and I have been a fan of their products for many years. But in my lean years, I preferred things like Dove and even Ivory, which dried my skin and smelled like a bad motel. I discovered San Francisco Soap Co. in 2000 and bought it for a couple of years, but at over $6 for a 2.5 ounce bar, it was just ridiculous. I came here looking for a 'hard' bar of soap, found this, bought 3 bars and after my wife and I only used 2 I bought 20! The scent is very mild and pleasant. It's a "hard cut," but that just means all air has been removed during production: a 4.25 ounce bar will last around 7-10 days! A dollar something a bar, that's a bargain! And the soap does an excellent job of smoothing out rather rough skin (mine). However, the oatmeal and almonds (just tiny flakes for exfoliation) do the job well, so well I'm considering trying the soap as a shaving cream. Excellent foam. Haven't tried any other flavors and don't need to. I think I've found the soap I've been looking for for 40 years!
