I purchased these to personalize rocks that I collect when I go hiking. I like to have a cute memento of the different hikes and this is a fun and easy way to do that. (For the record, I do NOT collect rocks from restricted areas) I love these metallic colors and they definitely have a good shimmer to them. If I let the colors dry, then I'm able to layer them well but I can also blend them if I apply a second color when the first is still wet. The white is not as "white" as I'd like, but I can't mark them down for that as a white metallic won't be a true white. I'll just need to purchase another set :)
