2" or 1.25" collimator inserts do not quite fit in the focuser. One is a little tight, the other a little loose. Luckily I had an adapter and it was great at the time. The laser is really irreplaceable. Pointed it at the wall and adjusted the primary mirror until it disappeared, then fine tuned it but needed an adapter to get the red laser dot in the slanted collimator window right on the money. I would recommend but if it doesn't fit the focuser snugly you will need to buy an adapter (I had one for the camera lens I had). That way you know for sure you're there!
