Sturdy and super easy to assemble

It's time to grow up and stop using tons of paper as monitor stands (and lumber is getting expensive) and this thing is cheap enough to get by with less than a few mountains of paper. It feels solid and the details have a metal feel. Almost contacted the seller because the screws didn't go into the base. Thought it was because the base was upside down, don't make that mistake. They've made the top foolproof by putting a sticker that tells you to tighten the screws on the other side but not the base (although this is obvious as it has rubber feet to indicate which side should be pointing down). In my excitement I overlooked it. It says it's rated at 10kg (22lbs) and I'm definitely close to the limit with my LG 34UB88-P, which weighs 18.5lbs with its own stand. I think they can put the size of the LCD as a limit in the listing, otherwise the base may not cover the entire portion of the monitor, but mine seems really solid. Manual on the side of the box. See the attached cardboard picture, that's all that is needed to assemble. Assembling and reading the instructions definitely takes no more than a few minutes (well, unless you flip the base like I did). It's very easy to adjust the height with a simple screw and I was able to do it with one hand (use the other hand to hold the monitor while adjusting the base). Considering the monitor stand is less than $20 (that's less than the tax I paid on my monitor!), no problems so far.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
