I ordered 12 for my 12 year old son. He is thin and nothing fits around his waist unless they are too short. This is great as they have buttons with an elastic band inside the band. I've washed them hoping they would shrink a bit as I need to hem the legs a bit, but she's only grown an inch in the last 3 weeks so they might last through the summer.
