Review on Dorman 911 535 Vapor Canister Solenoid by Danny Poulin

Do not remove the entire assembly

This product still works well. It's not that easy to get at it without manipulation. Insert two screwdrivers into the slots to remove. After that it wasn't so bad. You don't have to remove the entire canister. Most likely these nuts are rusted, like mine. For this part, symptoms include either a check engine light or an audible trolley or whistling noise in the rear on initial startup. It only triggers on the first run to check your vaporizer system for leaks. For me it usually made a noise when it was colder. After the replacement, extraneous noise in the rear under the car is gone. I tested the old one with tension and the internal valve didn't close like new. So the carpet is gone. Much luck!

Pros
  • Direct replacement - this canister vent solenoid fits and performs like original equipment with simple plug and play installation
Cons
  • Slightly torn
