This is a large 3D metal star decoration individually packaged by color. I made a video to show how they look floating because the sense of movement/3D and shimmer is hard to capture in a photo. A thin silver thread is sewn to the top of each star. The thread is about 12 inches long. The set also included a small "spool" of silver thread to create a sort of clothesline to hang individual stars from. Of course you shouldn't do it that way. I'll probably hang mine on the chandelier and over the door. I also think they would look great on a Christmas tree. They are made from thin but strong cardboard and are double sided. They are likely durable enough to be reused for multiple occasions. The thread is not very strong, but sufficient and looks elegant. Shiny surfaces and super shiny metallic shine are well combined here.
