I needed an electric random orbital sander to line the bow of my boat before applying the gelcoat. It was faster and more efficient than my expensive brand name grinder which only lasted 3 days before bearing failed. For fine bondo sanding, I recommend blowing out the sander every time you empty the collection bag. And always run the grinder level on the surface when it's on, adjusting the speed as needed based on the surface of the material.
