Had a foam mattress from Ikea. After 8 years, it was time for that mattress to go. Decided on this because it was available down the block from work, off a Treasure Truck.Fairly large box. It had some weight to it. It would be a problem to carry this Queen size mattress more than a couple of blocks. Finally got it back to the car. Just enough space in the trunk of a Prius.Got home. Took a scissor to the plastic bag, and the mattress was showing life. Decided to let it sit for the night and not use it until the next night.Tough couple of nights, but finally got to use it. Absolutely in love with it. It was firm and held its shape. I'm 300 lbs and this thing held me well. I slept like a baby. Kept me cool too. No comparison to the Ikea mattress. This mattress does a great job of not disturbing the rest of the bed. My wife and I can enter the bed without causing too much of disturbance to each other. I am a light sleeper. Ever since we got this mattress, I have yet to be woken by her.If I had a gripe - I say it is harder to sit on the edge of the bed. I had to sit back from the edge, otherwise I sank and fell off of it.Update: After 2 years and 3 months, I started to get back pains and got worse over time, spreading the pain to my ribs. It took me a while to identify this mattress as being the culprit. Finally a light bulb kicked in. I have to go away once month and sleep in another mattress and honestly my back pain goes away after the weekend being away. But once I get back home and sleep back on the Rivet mattress, back pain is back. After careful inspection, I noticed the mattress is loosing its firmness or shape on my side of the bed. It is no longer supporting me like it used to. It's a shame, I had a good experience at first, but it just didn't work out at the end. Although this mattress does continue to keep me cool during the summers.
