Review on Amazon Basics Ergonomic Adjustable Upholstered by Rob Overturf

Great chair for the price.

This is great value for money. It's heavy, solid and well built at a very low price for this quality. But note, if I couldn't change the angle of the seat using the hack detailed below, it would be an uncomfortable chair. The chair has multiple adjustments: up and down seat height of approximately 10 cm, independent up and headrest height of approximately 7.6 cm, lowered or fully raised armrests, and easy recline. At first glance, there is nothing cheap about this chair. Maybe something will emerge over time, but for example, the armrests are strong, solid, and covered in dense, rubberized black pads that are half an inch thick. I'd prefer metal in that area, or at least more durable plastic - I guess it depends on how it feels and I don't know exactly. Okay. After praising the chair and asking a bit about the casters, I'm not sure about one thing: Does it recline enough for me? I think so, but I'll have to take it to my office and see how it feels when I put my feet up on the table. If you never do, then this chair is definitely for you. (07/14/2021) OK again. I've been using this chair for two days and found a problem which, while a lot of fun, turned out to be a minor fix. What bothered me more and more was the slight forward tilt of the seat and armrests that I couldn't adjust. I was about to give up the seat it was so uncomfortable when it occurred to me that maybe I could put some shims under the front two teams holding the seat on the post and get the angle I prefer - and honestly. , the corner of most of these chairs should start at . So I turned the chair over and took the seat off the base to see what I could do (I didn't assemble the chair first). And so, on the underside of the seat cushion, two double bushings were fitted, one for the front pair of holes, the other for the rear. And the two twin pegs were asymmetrical: one was 5mm higher than the other, and the pair of lower pegs were at the front of the seat cushion, providing exactly the opposite tilt this chair needed. These were plastic bushings that bolted to the base of the seat. So I took a screwdriver and a hammer, popped out both sets of bushings and swapped them out, hammered them back into the bottom of the chair as best I could and screwed the cushion back onto the base (and the nearly destroyed braces are no more). required as the seat bolts hold them in place). Now the chair is almost perfect. And if I'm still tired of the slight remaining incline, then I simply remove the rear wheel hub completely. I am posting a photo of these bushings taken from the bottom of the chair if you wish to do the same yourself.
