Review on 💡 Satco S2236 Dimmable Halogen Bulb by John Bennett

If you are reading this you have probably spent the last 2 hours looking for a replacement LED bulb. Let me save you another 2 hours. There is none. That's it! I bought this bulb because it is the only known very narrow (less than 10 degree beam angle) 30x short neck spot bulb in the known universe. I'm sure there is a similar bulb in a galaxy far far away but it won't come here in 2 days with free shipping. Common LED replacement lamps have a beam angle of 15, 25 or 40 degrees. I have a Room & Board floor lamp that juts up and needs a bulb of 10 degrees or less to properly light the room. A 15 degree lamp shines normally, but diffuses before it reaches the ceiling, making the room look very dark. 25 and 40 degrees light up my knees or the back of the sofa very well, but not the room. So why 3 stars? Well, he's served exactly 1.4 years as the box says. I bought it in July 2017 and it broke in January 2019. I'm not sure if I should give a bad review for such a dismal lifespan or reward the manufacturer with a good review for honesty. It's nice to know that honest people still exist. So 3 stars seems fair. Despite the 3 stars, I still recommend you buy this bulb, especially if your spouse is irrationally attached to a fixture that requires this bulb. In fact, you should probably stock up as they burn out quickly. Or, if you have a sensible and understanding spouse, you should just throw away the fixture that needs that particular lightbulb.
