Review on Taylor Digital Bath Scale by Raymond Doe

This review is for the 7578. I checked Consumerreports.org and found that Taylor's 7506 had the best review of several weights tested. So I came to Revain to check the reviews here and the average rating is 4.5 stars which is great. I looked locally for this model but couldn't find it. Then I came across this 7578 at Target for about the same price and decided to buy it. I tried checking the store for reviews but the signal was poor, but after coming home with the scale I found about 6 reviews on target.com and only one was positive. I was disappointed but decided to give it a try anyway. I've been very low carb for a little over 2 weeks and after using this scale for the last 4 days I'm actually seeing the gradual weight loss I was expecting so this scale seems to be working well. I decided to order the 7506 just for comparison (at Walmart.com because I could easily return it to the store). Here's what I found: I ran the following test by placing both models side by side on a concrete floor. slab floor. I got on the scale to get the first reading, then got up and got up again. Both gave the same readings of 163.8. I took off my jeans and 7578 fell slightly to 162.4 while 7506 stayed at 163.8. little difference between the two models. I put the drill down and put my jeans back on and the 7578 was the same as my first weigh in of 163.8 but the 7506 read 164. So in my totally unscientific test the 7578 seems to be more accurate. and consistent. Also, I found the 7578 to be a bit wider and sit completely flat on the ground, while the 7506 wobbles a bit and even tips over if I don't dismount in time. A few things to note: the 7578 has a larger, brighter display and uses 3 AAA batteries, while the 7605 uses a CR2032 disc battery. I have no idea which battery is better, but I like the larger display better. In short, I keep 7678.
