Feels like plastic: my feedback

I'm very concerned about this luggage. I just received mine today and haven't used it yet but it just doesn't feel like any luggage I've had before. It feels like hard plastic. I am concerned that it might just crack on the first flight. I don't know if I should return or exchange. Now that I look at pictures for the reviews, I see that the pictures of the luggage don't match the product shown for sale. So I don't know what to think.
