I ordered one for each of our four dogs. However, the youngest, the Standard Poodle, was overly "attracted" to the blanket, perhaps because of the smell, and his "affection" soon proved his blanket gone. However, the females used their covers as intended and thoroughly enjoyed them until the male started using his to hide. After repeatedly harassing and punishing him for stealing their blankets, I realized I was fighting a war I couldn't win and eventually succumbed to all the blankets of his hormonal antics. He was a happy poodle. Another customer wrote a review and I'm sorry I didn't heed her warning. However the duvets were a good price and size so I decided to take a chance but was disappointed. On a positive note the blankets washed very well, dried quickly, were lightweight and easy to shake out but still provided a good layer of warmth on the dog beds on cold nights. Much to my surprise, in the few weeks that the blankets held, our dogs really looked forward to being spread out on their beds on cold nights. Another positive was how quickly the duvets dried. Given the humidity levels that have been around here lately, I've often found myself washing and drying wet dog towels, which was expensive and time consuming. However, these duvets tumble dry in less than 30 minutes, so they pay for themselves quickly. In addition, the fabric is actually water-repellent as advertised and also dirt-repellent, so in most cases it was enough to simply shake it out and let it dry in the sun. Poodle blankets had no obvious odor or strong chemical odor. Some of our family members struggle with multiple chemical sensitivities but they were all happy and unaffected by these blankets. If it weren't for our overzealous hormone poodle, these blankets would be awesome.
