Very easy to use!: Tools and equipment

Now it saves time! 100% worth every penny! Took me 10 minutes to install both CV sleeves with rings! Full recommendation!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

It is a reliable and practical tool.

. This is a reliable and convenient tool. Suggestion to check shoe size and durability before using this tool. We tried this on a side-by-side CV boat but found the tool to be too large. Best suited for large and durable CV boots.

Pros
  • . Testers give high marks for support and durability.
Cons
  • . Secret

Works as described in the Tools & Equipment section

I gave four stars because it had dirty grease marks - it was a poorly cleaned return before it was sent to me. It worked very well. Easy to use. No surprises. Completely consistent with the purpose. I did two external constant velocity joints on a 2010 Toyota Corolla.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Expensive

Doesn't work with CV boot tools

I bought this tool and used it with the recommended CV boots. The tool will not stretch the boot more than an inch or two without 150psi. Then, at full extension, he just ripped the boots in half, and for $25, ripping three boots wasn't fun. I used the tool correctly and according to the specifications. Two stars instead of one because the build quality of the instrument is very good.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Steering & Suspension Tools CV Upload Tool

This tool works as advertised. However, the boot is not so easy to process. I've made tons of boots the old fashioned way of removing the axle and loosening the hinges. The boot is easier to put on but the cuffs they give you are rubbish and the boot is so soft it's difficult to work with. I rec. this tool, but get better clamps or you'll fight the ones that come with them like I did. With the right clamps, this tool is a real labor saver. Note. This review was written by Holly's husband, not…

Dorman CV Boot Extension Tool

Dorman 614-030 CV Boot Extension Tool This CVboot Extender seems to work well - although it's not a super/professional quality piece of equipment, I'm sure it gets as much use as it does would be perfectly adequate. But a few pieces of tape on the box to secure it before sending it halfway around the world might be a good idea! that there would be too many concerns because it is a weird type of plug that was probably used in the 4th Reich and not Aro airline plugs which are mainly used here in…

CV Dorman Cuff Extension Tool

super/professional quality unit, for the frequency they are used I am me sure will suffice. But a few pieces of tape on the box to secure it before shipping it halfway around the world might be a good idea! The little air hose connector that rattled in the box could easily have popped out - not that that was too much of a problem as it's an odd type of connector that was probably used in the 4th Reich I don't think to Aro - connectors that are mainly used by airlines are used here in Aotearoa /

effective tool if you are intuitive enough to understand the instructions

The tool is quite effective and didn't cause any problems once I figured out how to use it. The instructions are very poor and can benefit from what the person writing them is trying to use based on brief instructions. Of course this can be simplified with pictures or drawings describing how CV joints are made for those who need more guidance. The specification must be given with the maximum applicable pressure. BUT overall this is a GREAT tool that every mechanic or toolmaker should have in…

Fantastic product! fits steering and suspension tools

I had a grease leak on one of my Mazda's outer CV joint boots. The axle was replaced about 4 years ago and was still under warranty. I decided I would just get a new axle under warranty and swap it out. Not correct. After trying unsuccessfully for 1 1/2 days to pull the old one off, I finally gave up and took it to the shop. The same day they called saying they couldn't delete it either. Every single person in the shop tried all their usual tricks to remove it but eventually gave up and told me

Pros
  • Air tool opens 6"
Cons
  • Available in white only
