First I would like to say that we are very pleased with the finished product. Newbie pendant lights. I've made hundreds. I'm 60 years old and have 30 traits so I can say this was the greatest pain I've ever had. I even got my wife to read the instructions as I don't. The biggest problem was the bracket that the lantern was mounted on. There was a universal round type, and the next, longer one was a problem. If it were threaded with holes of the exact length it would be a lot easier. That, and the fact that the lantern had to be supported by a helper while the electrical connections were made, meant a lot more work than necessary. I don't know why they didn't copy the ceiling fan setup that allows for a mounting system that will support the weight of the light fixture while making the electrical connections. So, 2 people, 2 ladders and some patience. Much luck!
