Review on 🎧 Red Audio-Technica VM740ML MicroLine Dual Moving Magnet Stereo Cartridge for Turntables by Amanda Brown

Complicated attachment of the stylus (brown plastic part with real console and diamond) on the trolley.

Love this cart even though I've tried (a bit) to mount it on my Pro-ject carbon arm. The installation kit supplied with the VM750 contains everything you need to install the trolley. It has a small screwdriver, a brush, three sizes of nuts and bolts, and a set of wires to connect the carriage to the tonearm. What he doesn't have are needle nose pliers. You need this tool, but don't use the garden tongs in the tool kit. You need one with really tiny jaws. I found one at Home Depot. When you open the trolley packaging, you will see that the trolley is securely packed in a clear plastic box. To unlock the carriage, you must remove the pen unit (brown plastic piece). never mind Once you've attached the carriage to the tonearm, VERY CAREFULLY connect the red, green, blue, and white wires. These are very thin wires and can easily break. Using your small pair of pliers, grasp the gold connector on the end of the wire (not the black rubber grommet or the wire itself!), then gently slide the connector onto the mating pin on the carriage. It will be snug, so be careful, but also make sure it's secure. Finally, attach the pen. Look closely at the photo of the assembled carriage to see how the needle aligns with the cartridge body. It won't be obvious. Basically, align the back of the pen assembly with the back of the carriage. Gently push it towards the car. You will have little resistance. It will not be installed until it is present. You'll know when it's in place because there's an obvious click. Due to the thin nature of the pen, you may be afraid to apply pressure. Just be careful when picking it up with your fingers. Stay clear of the cantilever and make sure the brown shield is lowered into a defensive position. Once the needle is in the correct position, press lightly and firmly to press the needle against the carriage body. You will feel cotton. and done. Fantastic cartridge. It replaced the cheap, high-performance Grado MC-Cart, which was pretty good, but not as good as this AT. I play rock, jazz, classical and electronic music. New plates, old plates, worn plates. This AT responds well to everyone (I took the time to align the car - not difficult at all - and adjust the downforce and anti-skate force). I will not describe the sound of my speakers. My words would be a waste of time. Let me just say the sound is really full and I like it.
