Doesn't hold up to water

I've found the hard way that while these canisters look great and go great with my bathroom decor, they won't withstand contact with water. It's been about 2 years since I bought them so I think I got my money's worth but considering the space around the sink is so small it was difficult to ensure they were always dry. A little water causes corrosion and a huge mess. For kids I bought crystal clear plastic glasses and they worked better although they need regular cleaning.
