Received my ARC 1 ANC on Monday November 16th, 2020 and they creak when moving, tinny and very high when listening to music from my cell phone. Their sound crackles chaotically and when pressing the buttons on the headphones. ANC simply changes the soundstage (near or far). There is no perceptible soundproofing. Also, ANC stays on (green LED on) even when the headphones are off. Now when you use it from a PC and watch YouTube, it sounds like you're in a tunnel. The videos sound strange, muted and distant. I've played around with every setting I could find on the PC and nothing seems to help. Music from a PC sounds even grittier than it does from a phone. High frequencies too penetrating and no clarity. So far the ARC 1 OG is better. Quince, we need you to make you feel better. I still prefer my $28 Koss KPH30i to those $180 cans.
