I bought this unit for my girlfriend a few weeks ago. Before that, she was without a real console. She thinks R2D2 is cute, really wanted an XBox and didn't have much for her birthday. She cried when she opened it. The console itself is exactly as advertised. I don't know what some were expecting. Why is it so important that you have to physically go to the system and press the buttons to hear a funny noise or two? R2D2's blue light and noise is stunning, adding a light-hearted aesthetic to the experience. The C3PO controller looks pretty cool and I would buy it separately even if I don't know what it should look like. The games were the only part I didn't like, but they were far from central to the overall coolness of this pack. She traded them for CEX in Boston and received Mass Effect 1, Fable 2 and Assassin's Creed. This is victory. I'm a Kinect fan of every color. Some people want to hate it and complain. This shouldn't be a pre-crime video screen from the minority report. It's a cheesy attempt at making games interactive and getting your ass off your chair. Telling your XBox to do something is great, especially when it comes to alcohol. There is a fleeting but pleasant sense of power. If you like Star Wars you will be happy. If not, why are you even reading this? This XBox is a great deal with a fun design.
